- The league’s chief priority is keeping the integrity of the game intact so I’d be expecting a fine being levied against Hue Jackson for running a flea flicker in his own endzone into triple coverage. I can usually smell out offensive innovation and this stunk of corruption. It saddens me that RG3 was just a patsy in this blatant attempt to secure the number 1 pick in the draft. A pick that will supplant Griffin as the starter regardless of what position Cleveland drafts.
- It is being reported that the NFL will be taking a closer look at the player celebrations at the end of the year to determine if they have to loosen their grip on player behavior. They better be careful which lines in the sand they want to revisit. Don’t know if you want to open Pandora’s Box because before you know it they’ll be looking into the benefits of medical marijuana easing the pain of their employees and whether or not it’s prudent to investigate the Steelers and their ongoing to attempt to skirt the rules when it comes to air pressure in footballs.
- Shout out to Matt Stafford and the long con he’s been running on the NFL his entire career in regards to being such an elusive runner. The dual threat signal caller has 193 rushing yards this season which is 34 yards more than his highest total for a season. He has 3 games left and I don’t want to say Michael Vick’s record of 1,039 yards rushing in a season in jeopardy, but I’m also not saying it isn’t.
- You can officially say that TY Hilton has arrived. Not because his 78 receptions for 1,203 yards and 6 TDs speaks volumes but because of these stats he can now call out teammates for playing poorly thus entering the realm of other great receivers like Terrell Owens, Chad 85 and Randy Moss who always knew the best way to motivate struggling co-workers. Hilton said players laid down in their loss against the Texans, which was a big division game that had playoff implications. Not sure if losing to a team led by Brock Osweiler is laying down but if TY says it is then its gots to be true.
