Jeff Fisher absolutely deserved to be fired. He was living on borrowed time for a few seasons. But, I think that we as fans sometimes take for granted the uniqueness of a team. Yeh, if the guy in the cubicle next to you gets shit canned, it sucks. But, when 5:00 p.m. rolls around, you’re already over that shit. Although it is defiantly a job, even at the professional level, football teams become families. Don’t believe me? Watch the hearts of everyone in room collectively sink when Jeff Fisher tells them he was fired.

That’s not “John from accounting is being let go” disappointment. That’s “the head of this family is being torn away from us and I don’t know how I’m going to go on” disappointment. It’s gut-wrenching to watch. To be fair, all of these guys are also thinking “Fuck. I’m next.” But, they’ve also got a profound love for Jeff Fisher too.
I didn’t really care about Amazon’s “All or Nothing,” before. I just figured it was Hard Knocks 2.0. But, I’ll tune in for this.
