“Games, changes and fears / When will they go from here? / When will they stop?”
The opening verse to Macy Gray’s, “I Try”, truly expresses the relationship between fantasy football team owners and their drafted players. In a seductive yet tracheobronchial kind of way, Ms. Gray’s obvious passion for fantasy football throws a sucker punch of emotions that we all, as fantasy owners, endure throughout the season. My week 9 fantasy football advice pays homage to this classic gridiron ode.
After experiencing another heartbreaking Sunday, I just so happened to hear the Grammy award-winning melody being broadcasted out over the airwaves and into my soul where it whispered sweet fantasy football nothings at a time when I needed to hear them the most. This extremely nonsensical and fabricated incident assisted in my realization of the correlation between Macy Gray and fantasy football.
The aforementioned occurrence has given me the will to keep striving onward for fantasy football dominance. So as I continue my quest, I will continue to share with you my weekly not-so-crazy (“cray”) underdog fantasy scoring advice.

Injuries, bye weeks, poor production. Your fantasy football world crumbles when your players are not there. Remain confident, have faith and crank up that Macy Gray anthem, because as long as you try, your fantasy team, and you as a human being, will succeed.
Best of luck to you all. And remember, when in doubt, always go with your gut!
