Click here to donate to THON and help kids beat cancer!
The annual THON event at Penn State University kicks off tonight! If you live in the bubble (or perhaps just not in the north east) you may not know what it is. So, let me break it down for you… Over the next 48-hours, thousands of awesome kids will take place in a dance-a-thon, that has become the biggest student philanthropic effort in the world. For months they’ve busted their asses raising donations. They’ve held bake sales, they’ve solicited donations from businesses and most commonly they’ve worked the street corners… Doing coin drops. Get your head out of the gutter. They’ve done this all in the name of pediatric cancer. So, do your part and CLICK HERE TO DONATE TO THON! The funds raised are donated to pediatric cancer research and used to support the families of those battling the decease. We at the Point After Show can’t think of a more noble cause to get behind than that!

I’m not a Penn State guy. I’m not even a “Penn State isn’t that bad guy.” But, for the next 48 hours, Penn State and everyone participating in THON have my absolute respect and my heart is with all of you! I’m “bleeding Blue and White,” “We Are!,” “put the statue back up” and all that other nonsense. You’ve got my support (for the next 48 hours). Even the frat guys and sorority girls become real humans on THON weekend, legitimately stand up people. Have I mentioned #FuckCancer? For real.
On a serious note, we’ve all been affected by cancer in some way. Be it a member of your own family, friend, coworker or acquaintance. Your donation (which you can make by clicking here) will help support children battling pediatric cancer (and their families). It’s time to take a stand, with the amazing students, parents and organizers of the THON event to kick cancer’s ass.
Remember… Life’s tough, but we’re tougher.
We’re standing in full support of the THONers and in memory of the one of the toughest girl’s we’ve ever known.
