The PGA Tour travels to Sin City – Las Vegas, Nevada – this week for the Shriners Hospital for Children Open at TPC Summerlin.
While it may come off as a bit of a head scratcher, a place enriched with gambling and legalized prostitution was chosen by the PGA to be the perfect spot to host this week’s children’s hospital-sponsored event.
Shriners Hospital for Children Open
This will be the second week utilizing the new formula in the rankings model which incorporates a wide range of current form statistics, each individually weighted. This range includes the past 4, 8, 12, 24, 50 and 100 rounds played.
The “PAS Power Index” is generated by calculating and combining the following: total current form player statistics weighted at 50%, course history at 25% and Vegas rank at 25%. Several players in the field do not have any course history so their course history weight percentage has been shifted to current form.
