The Challenge XXX Episode 10 Recap

What’s up guys? It’s time for the (arguably) best recap of The Challenge XXX Episode 10 on the internet. I missed last week because I was in an exhaustion induced coma and missed the entire episode. Not to worry, it doesn’t appear that I missed that much. From the looks of the recap it seems like the entire episode was centered around the redemption house. The week’s episode begins with a montage of phone call scenes. When it’s Hunter’s turn, his girlfriend breaks up with him. I can’t lie, I loved seeing that roided-out, hillbilly, meathead sob his eyes out on national television. That was a great way to kick off the episode!

The Challenge XXX Episode 10 Competition

There’s an odd number of players for this week’s challenge, so TJ announces that the two players who aren’t chosen will automatically go into the elimination. Veronica and Dario end up looking like the kids picked last (or not at all) in gym class. This week’s competition requires the players to jump from large hanging platform to platform. Whichever team makes it across the fastest wins.

Hold the phone… CT and Hunter are on the same team?! Man, my inner turmoil is raging. I mean, the Devil and God  are raging inside me (yes, that’s a reference to Brand New). Can my love for CT conquer my hate for Hunter? Yes, it can.I’m going to root for them, but I kind of hate myself for it.

The first round sounds like it could get brutal. Jordan and Hunter pretty much hate each other. It doesn’t. Jordan’s entire team falls into the water immediately, but he somehow makes it across with little effort.

The girls from the blue team get dumped into the water quickly, but super dad, CT basically defies physics. There’s nothing about CT’s giant dad-bod that should allow him to leap from narrow platform to narrow platform, while being suspended 50 feet in the air. You know what? HE DID IT ANYWAY. Because, he’s the GOAT. Oh, Hunter made it across too.

The 10 millionth commercial break ends and we’re on to round two. Nelson immediately falls into the water. Bananas also takes a monster spill, followed by Cara Maria. Jemmy on the other hand simply flops off the side of the platform like a bag of mashed potatoes. Leroy, who has allegedly has a crippling fear of heights, is the only member of his team to make it across. Derrick “The Pit Bull” K and Jenna make it all the way across to put their team in contention. At one point, Derrick actually snatches Jenna out of mid-air and saves her. This seems to get Britni all hot and bothered. Good for you Derrick, you old dog, you.

It turns out that Team Hunter and CT had the fastest time. So, they’re safe from elimination. Thank God. Let’s be clear guys, I still hate Hunter and think that he sucks. Let’s just talk about how CT is absolutely dominating this season. He’s the Tom Brady of Challenges. He just keeps geting better with age. The guy is like a fine South Boston basement wine.

The Challenge XXX Episode 10 Downtime

The teams go out on the town drinking, because that’s an activity that always ends well on this show. Hunter gets drunk and his roid-rage kicks in. He starts tweeking out on Kailah, until his bro-mate Nelson swoops in to hug it out and calm him down.

Britni comes out of the woodwork with some rage too and throws out the lines: “I’d like to punch her in throat” and “She shares panties with Jenna.” I actually laughed out loud during this scene. I “LOL-ed,” if you will.

The drunks come back from the bar and punk-ass Nelson starts running his mouth about “the old fucks.” Derrick K is out on the balcony, minding his own business, when that mental case Nelson decides to get in his face. He shoves Derrick, TWICE and somehow lives to tell about it. As tempers flair, Nelson throws a punch that lands squarely on Derrick’s jaw. No need to worry, Derrick brushes the punch off like it never even happened.

Derrick K with the line of the night (over and over): “Dude’s whack.”

Bananas lays down the law and let’s Hunter know that even if Nelson doesn’t get sent home, he’s “fucking done.” Life lesson, Hunter. You are the company you keep. This means there’s a big target on Hunter’s back too now. I love it.

The Challenge XXX Episode 10 Elimination

TJ drops a bomb to kick off the elimination ceremony. Nelson’s has been sent home and Hunter’s mind is absolutely blown. I don’t exactly know why. Rule #1 is that you can’t hit another cast member or you get sent home. Ask CT about that one.

Real talk. If CT, Johnny Bananas and Leroy are coming to someone’s defense, I would never want to be on the wrong side of that wrecking crew!
