Tiger Woods Toxicology Report Grade: C+

Tiger Woods Toxicology Report Results

The toxicology report for Tiger Woods’ May DUI charge was released on Monday. Apparently, the golf great had THC, along with a healthy cocktail of prescription medication, in his system at the time of the arrest. These prescription drugs include:

  • Painkillers (Vicodin, Dilaudid)
  • Anxiety drug (Xanax)
  • Insomnia assistance (Ambien)

Woods pled guilty to reckless driving in court last Wednesday. He agreed to enter a diversion program that would allow the charges to be vacated if and when he successfully completes the program.

Tiger has had his fair share of low points during the last decade, but this arrest might have been his lowest yet. Since the DUI, Woods has been criticized and bashed by many media outlets about his career’s plunge. With the whole world judging him and his career, and his own realization that he may never return to golf again, prescription medication numbs all sorts of pain. As seen on numerous occasions with celebrities, if this is the bottom of Tiger’s downward spiral, it could have ended much worse. I’m grading his report results a C+.

Could’ve been worse…

The toxicology report could have revealed much more stronger, illegal drugs in his system. Obviously, we don’t ever condone driving under the influence of any substance; however, Tiger was prescribed these medications by a practicing doctor (well, maybe not now) and legally obtained them through a pharmacy.

The scenario would be much different if I began this post with, “Apparently, the golf great had LSD, along with a healthy cocktail of illicit drugs in his system at the time of the arrest. These illicit drugs include:

  • Crystal meth
  • Quaaludes
  • Crack cocaine
  • Molly”

That type of toxicology report would have gotten an A+.

Get well, Tiger

I do understand how addictive prescribed medications can be, specifically those treating pain and anxiety. There are, however, many worse, illegal drugs that could have been found in his system at the time of his arrest.

Best of luck in your recovery, Tiger.

P.S. Kids, don’t do drugs.
