Tom Brady is the Greatest Of All Time
I have heard people continuously use this statement, followed by “arguably”. Let me assure everyone, there is no argument. Tom Brady is without question, the best quarterback to ever play the game. Use any excuse you want.
“Brady has Belichick.”
Montana had Bill Walsh.
“Brady is a product of the system.”
Montana had the West Coast Offense.
“Next man up! Anyone can play quarterback in New England.”
You mean like Steve Young and Jeff Garcia did in San Francisco?
Here is another dose of reality. At the ripe old age of 37, Joe Montana was replaced in San Francisco and shipped off to Kansas City. Why? Because the 49ers thought he was washed up. History will show, they may have been right. Check his stats from ’93 and ’94. Meanwhile, at the age of 38, Tom Brady won his 5th Superbowl.
Please don’t @ me that Brady isn’t the GOAT. Joe Montana is my favorite player of all time and I am not a Patriots fan, so throwing bias out the window, yes he is!
Tom Brady is a Fantasy Elite Quarterback
Tom Brady is an elite fantasy quarterback. For those of you who disagree, take a long look in the mirror and decide if fantasy football is right for you. I, along with many others, have him ranked as the number two quarterback off the board in 2017. I’m not sure why, but this seems to come with a lot of debate. I will humor all of you nonbelievers, however and explain why his ranking is exactly where he should be.
Full disclosure, I am not a guy who typically drafts quarterbacks early, but there are two I consider fantasy elite. Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. People may argue and want to throw Drew Brees in this conversation to which I say, look at his home versus away productivity. That should end the argument before it even becomes one.
Brady’s Fantasy Stats By The Numbers
Let’s start with what Tom Terrific did last year. After serving a four game suspension, Brady threw for over 300 yards in five out of his 12 games, and had the lowest interception total (2) of his entire career as a starter. Not to mention he also had his second highest completion percentage. So let’s think about this. Brady threw two interceptions all year. There were 98 games this season were a quarterback threw two or more interceptions, and two different quarterbacks threw two or more interceptions in a single game six times.

From weeks 5 through 17 Brady ranked third in fantasy points, averaging 24.5 FPPG. Just to be clear, 2 of the 4 games he missed, were against division rivals Buffalo and Miami. Later in the season Brady shredded both teams for a combined 591 yards passing, 7 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.
Looking further than just last year you would find that Brady has finished as a top 5 fantasy quarterback four times in the last six season regardless of how many games he played. He is match up proof, whether he is playing the Denver Broncos on the road or the Houston Texans in Gillette. If you are smart enough to grab him early you have a guaranteed thing. He is the most protected quarterback in the league so he has the most minimal chance of being injured. They love to throw the ball and he is the master of the quarterback sneak from the goal line.
Taking all of this into consideration, along with the loss of Blount and addition of Brandin Cooks, its a no brainer that Brady should be drafted 2nd quarterback off the board. Oh, and in case you’ve been living under a rock for the last two seasons they love to run the by by throwing it. James White and Dion Lewis will look to feast.
