Word on the street (according to the Cavs) is that Dan Gilbert didn’t consult LeBron James before firing David Griffin. It actually appears that James advocated for Griffin to receive an extension.
Fun fact: One year ago, the Cleveland Cavaliers won their first National Championship in franchise history. Fast forward 365 days and David Griffin is uploading his resume to Monster.com. Hey, Monster, if you advertise with us, I’ll make that joke every time we write an article about someone getting fired.
I’m amazed that no one seems to be blaming LeBron James for this. But, nothing and I mean nothing happens in Cleveland, without a nod of approval form King James.
I know that.
You know that.
We all know that.
The Cavs are walking on egg shells right now, because there’s a good chance that LeBron will jump ship and start creating his next super team. But, this time he’ll be taking his talents to the west coast, not South Beach. The focus in Cleveland right now is on keeping LBJ happy.
What if I’m completely wrong? Well, then LeBron won’t be in Cleveland much longer. Those are the two situations we’re looking at. But, I truly believe LeBron’s fingerprints are all over this.
Thank you Twitter gods! I need look no further for proof than LBJ’s twitter.
Listen, the most LeBron thing in the world, would be to have a guy fired and then praise him on twitter. That’s a classic LeBron move.
P.S. I guess this means that LeBron is back on twitter.
P.P.S. It’s nice to see LBJ shout out Diana T on his twitter as well. All it took was Michael Rapaport calling him out on Barstool Sports to get him to do it.
