VICELAND’s Thrasher King of the Road Season 2 Premier and Cast

Vice‘s hit, King of the Road Season 2 premiers tonight. If you’re a skateboard guy, you know know what Thrasher magazine is. If not, you probably still recognize the THRASHER logo t-shirts or even own one. Fucking Zumies, man. Thrasher magazine has been hosting the King of the Road event for years. It’s a mixture of a skateboard competition, road trip and scavenger hunt. It’s really gritty, kind of gross and really extreme. Last year, VICELAND picked it up and I instantly fell in love.

The episode starts in traditional sketchy fashion of King of the Road. The ramp that was built, was made of particle board, which is too soft for a skateboard to land on. The wheels immediately break through and the skaters take a few really harsh slams. They call that competition a tie and move on to a relay race. The relay race ends with everyone having to drink their own piss. Yeah, I wouldn’t suggest watching this with your grandmother. But, it’s a great show, minus the piss drinking.
