The Dodgers’ rookie sensation, Cody Bellinger, became the fastest player in MLB history to reach 21 home runs. After blasting two more against the Mets on Monday night, Bellinger now has 21 in only his first 51 games played in the majors.
The 21-year-old first baseman ended the night 3-5 with two dingers and four RBIs. Monday marked the fifth time Bellinger had multiple homers in a game this season. Mark McGwire holds the rookie record with seven multi-homer games.
