At his first press conference in Minnesota, Jimmy Butler gave out his personal cellphone number. When questioned about his rumored discontent in Chicago, he shrugged and said “My phone is in my back pocket, 773-899-6071.”
Now, if you’re Jimmy Butler, you have to immediately regret this move, right? Just chuck your phone in the river, walk away and chalk it up as a loss. Immediately get in the car, drive to the Mall of America (you’re in Minneapolis now after all) and get a new phone.
I called Butler on the off chance he hadn’t gone Hilary Clinton on his phone yet and got his voicemail. It asks you to leave your name, number and “any beef” you have with him. Then, I though… “Hey Joe. Jimmy’s a youngster. He probably feels more comfortable texting.” So, I sent him a series of questions via text message.
Don’t mind my typos. I’m all thumbs when it comes to texting.
Text me back, Jimmy Butler.
If I get a response, you’ll all be the first to know!
