It looks like Blake Griffin will be staying with the Clippers. Actually, it looks like Griffin will be a Clipper for the foreseeable future. The big man just signed a five-year, $173 million deal and ended his free agency.
Did not see that coming. Blake was doing the media tours and it looked like he was leaving town. But, I mean, $173 million is an enticing reason to stay. Hopefully the Clippers can get him some help.
Sucks to be: Boston, Phoenix and Denver right now. They’re like the chick that’s standing on the porch in her prom dress and takes an egg to the face from some asshole popular kid drives by in a limbo. You know.
Well, time to address the elephant in the room. We accidentally reported that Blake Griffin was traded two podcasts ago. You see, things move fast when we’re recording and I read something on Twitter incorrectly. Here is my apology. Sorry for the Fake news.

ESPN.com: “Blake Griffin has reached agreement on a five-year, $173 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources confirmed to ESPN. Griffin reportedly met with team owner Steve Ballmer, president and coach Doc Rivers, special consultant Jerry West and several players at Staples Center on Friday.
One person involved reportedly described it as “a trip down memory lane” with players Jamal Crawford, DeAndre Jordan, Patrick Beverley, Wesley Johnson and Sam Dekker all featured in a “production.”
Griffin reportedly had been scheduled to meet with the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets once free agency started Saturday. Griffin did not get a no-trade clause as part of the new contract, sources told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.”
