FREE BEER. Two of the sweetest sounding words when you put them together. Brooks Koepka has teamed up with Michelob Ultra to launch a campaign to give golf fans a chance at winning free beer. There is a catch, however…Koepka needs to play well in order win.
With a hole in one, which the 27-year-old Koepka has yet to do on the PGA Tour, fans who sign up at RoundOnBrooks.com will get 95 cases of Mich Ultra free of charge. Also, for a Koepka eagle, fans will get a $10 discount when they order Mich Ultra from Drizly.com.
It doesn’t specify a reason as to why “95” cases. I’m assuming it is to reflect the number of calories per 12 ounce can.
Now, Michelob Ultra is not my first beer of choice…it’s probably not even my hundredth, but, hey, free beer is free beer. It’s a dirty rotten shame that Pennsylvanians are not permitted to sign up for this contest – damn PA’s alcohol laws. If I won 95 cases of beer, I wouldn’t have to go to the distributor for at least a month! Oh well, Brooksy. Although I can’t profit off of your success this time around, I still dig your style.
The campaign starts this week with THE PLAYERS Championship and will continue until the fall. Good luck to those who are permitted entry in the 22 states that allow this contest. There will be a lot of people rooting for Koepka this summer and I don’t blame them.
