Ed’s Tops Starts & Sits – Week 15

QB

Stud of the Week

Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills (vs. Cleveland Browns)

  • Cleveland gives up the most fantasy points to opposing QBs
  • Last three games, Taylor has totaled 3 pass touchdowns and 2 rush touchdowns
  • Also, averaging 17 fantasy points over that span
  • Taylor is fighting for his starting job against a poor–like homeless poor–defense.

Dud of the Week

Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts (at Minnesota Vikings)

  • Minnesota gives up the 3rd fewest fantasy points to QBs
  • Minnesota defense is top 3 in both sacks and fewest passing yards allowed per game
  • Luck is averaging 1 interception per game over last three games
  • Both teams desperate for a win. I like a good/great home team defense over an inconsistent offense.

RB

Stud of the Week

Devonta Freeman/Tevin Coleman, Atlanta Falcons (vs. San Francisco 49ers)

  • San Fran gives up the most fantasy points to opposing RBs
  • Freeman averaging nearly 16 fantasy points per game over last 6 games
  • Coleman averaging 11.5 fantasy points per game over last 3 games
  • I’d even start Michael Turner if he can out of retirement for this game. 49ers stink!

Dud of the Week

Spencer Ware, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. Tennessee Titans)

  • Titans gives up the 4th fewest fantasy points to RBs
  • Ware is averaging just over 11 fantasy points in last five games
  • He had 2 touchdowns in one of those games but hasn’t score otherwise over that span
  • The Chiefs’ patience is Ware-ing thin with Spencer.

WR

Stud of the Week

Tyreek Hill, Kansas City Chiefs (vs. Tennessee Titans)

  • Titans allow the most fantasy points to opposing WRs
  • Last 8 games, Hill is averaging 17.5 fantasy points per game
  • Averaging 8 touches per game (not counting returns) with 7 touchdowns over that span
  • Start’em in all formats. If you don’t, you shouldn’t be in playoffs.

Dud of the Week

Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants (vs. Detroit Lions)

  • Lions give up the 10th fewest fantasy points to opposing WRs
  • Yes, his fantasy numbers have been good, and he has 3 touchdowns in his last three games, but OBJ…
    • Averaging 12 targets while only securing on average 6.5 catches over the last three games
    • Averaging a catch percentage of 55% over that span to you mathletes at home
    • Alaying despicably for being arguably one of the top three wide receivers in professional football
    • Should worry about catching the ball instead of beauty pageant-waving on the sidelines

TE

Stud of the Week

Ladarius Green, Pittsburgh Steelers (at Cincinnati Bengals)

  • Bengals allow the 4th most fantasy points to the TE position
  • Green has gotten 17 targets over the last two games
  • A touchdown two weeks ago resulting in a big fantasy week for him
  • Ladarius Gaga is going to come in like a wrecking ball this Sunday in Cincy.

Dud of the Week

Jordan Reed, Washington Redskins (vs. Carolina Panthers)

  • Carolina gives up the 2nd most fantasy points to the TE position, but Reed…
    • Still nagged by a shoulder injury
    • Only played 10 snaps in week 14
    • Had 1 catch for 10 yards in week 14
  • Reed’s a decoy in the ‘Skins explosive offense right now. Until he proves himself healthy, he’s a risky play.

DEF

Stud of the Week

Baltimore Ravens (vs. Philadelphia Eagles)

  • Eagles give up the 19th most fantasy points to opposing defenses
  • Ravens’ defense is averaging over 16 fantasy points over last seven games
  • Baltimore has forced 8 turnovers over last three games
  • Ravens and Steelers are dueling it out for first place in the AFC North. This is a must win home game for Baltimore.

Dud of the Week

Arizona Cardinals (vs. New Orleans Saints)

  • Saints give up the 20th most fantasy points to opposing Defenses
  • Arizona defense is averaging 8 fantasy points per game over last six games
  • Arizona is giving up nearly 26 points to opposing teams over that same span
  • Drew Brees has never gone three straight games without a touchdown in his career. This game will turn into a shootout. Cards will disappoint once again.
