Paul’s Tops Starts & Sits – Week 10

QB

Start of the Week

  • Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens (vs. Cleveland Browns)

Flacco and the Baltimore Ravens host the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night football this week. Cleveland comes in with the defense giving up the 3rd most fantasy points to quarterbacks. You always love starting a quarterback that plays Cleveland who has given up 3 passing TDs in 5 games this season and at least 1 TD pass in every game this season.

Sit of the Week

  • Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals (at NY Giants)

Andy Dalton comes into MetLife Stadium on Monday night against a Giants defense that is giving up the 4th fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this year. New York has only given up 16 or more fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks 1 time this year. I think you bench Andy Dalton this week in a bad matchup.

RB

Start of the Week

  • David Johnson, Arizona Cardinals (vs. San Francisco 49ers)

This is kind of a no brainer pick but how can David Johnson not be the best RB of the week. Hosting San Francisco, who is giving up the most points to RBs including seven 100 yard rushers and 12 rushing TDs. Obviously, no one is sitting David Johnson any week he is plays, but I think that he has a huge week.

Sit of the Week

  • Isaiah Crowell, Cleveland Browns (at Baltimore Ravens)

Isaiah Crowell went off against the Baltimore Ravens earlier this year for 133 rushing yards and a touchdown. So why would I sit him? That was week 2 and this is now. Since that game Baltimore has only given up 1 rushing TD to a back. Baltimore is only giving up the 4th fewest fantasy points to running backs this year, and Cleveland had a mobile quarterback way back in Week 2. Now they barely have a quarterback.

WR

Start of the Week

  • Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (vs. Chicago Bears)

Another start that is obvious, but the ceiling for Mike Evans against the Chicago Bears defense is so high it would be ridiculous not to have him as my start of the week. Evans has had no less than 11 targets in any game since Week 1. Chicago defense has given up the most fantasy points to wide receivers and 9 receiving touchdowns this season.

Sit of the Week

  • Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks (at New England Patriots)

Doug Baldwin and the Seattle Seahawks travel across the country and stroll into Gillette Stadium against the New England defense giving up the 5th least fantasy points to wide receivers this year. The Patriots have only given up two 100 yard games to a wide receiver one this season. Couple that with Baldwin’s lack of production, including not scoring over 12 points since week 3. Bench Baldwin.

TE

Start of the Week

  • Dennis Pitta, Baltimore Ravens (vs. Cleveland Browns)

Pitta has not found the end zone this year, but this is the week he does it. In week 2 Pitta lit up Cleveland for 9 catches and 102 yards. Cleveland gives up the most fantasy points to the TE position this season including 8 touchdowns. If Pitta doesn’t do it this week it’s a clear sign that Steve Smith’s return is an impact and it may be time to give up on Pitta.  I am not worried about that.

Sit of the Week

  • Colby Fleener, New Orleans Saints (vs. Denver Broncos)

Fleener has not lived up to the hype and it will not start this week. Colby has not eclipsed 6 fantasy points in the last three weeks. Denver has not given up 100 receiving yards and only 2 touchdowns to the tight end position. I think you sit Colby this week and look in the direction of Lance Kendricks of CJ Fiedorwicz.
