Whether you are traveling for the holiday or staying local, the short Thanksgiving week is busy for everyone. Remember to take a few minutes out of each day to check fantasy player news and injury reports. With three games being played Thursday, you are bound to have at least one person on your team play that day. My week 12 fantasy football advice to you is to not get lazy and forget about your team over the holiday.
The night before Thanksgiving is considered by many to be the biggest party night of the year. College students have coined it the name, Blackout Wednesday, due to the debauchery and amount of alcohol consumed. It should be noted, however, that Bill Cosby continues to refer to this night as just Wednesday.
Do not neglect your fantasy team during your two-day bender this Thanksgiving. I suggest you check your roster at least twice per day, morning and evening, for player updates. Thursday will be here before you know it. Do not forget to set your lineups early. Because once that tryptophan coma kicks in and you marinate into Aunt Ruth’s couch, you can kiss your fantasy team’s playoff hopes goodbye.
DON’T BE LAZY! Keep an eye on your players and set your rosters accordingly.
Good luck to you all in week 12! Happy Thanksgiving! And of course, whenever you’re in doubt, go with your gut!
