Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups

One Man’s Trash….  Did you ever have that girl you secretly wanted, but your friend was with her, so you really couldn’t pursue? What made the situation worse, was the sea hag you were dating never lived up to your expectations. One day, your friend breaks up with this chick because he felt like she wasn’t that good anymore. Maybe he got bored of that thing she did with her tongue, who knows! Opportunity? Absolutely. Like a vulture, you waste no time swooping in for the scraps, and now YOU are enjoying that second-to-none thunder tongue. At least for a few weeks. My advice for Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups is a lot like that.

Thanks, Waiver Wire.

(Bye Week: Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys)

Quarterbacks – Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups:

Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills (64% owned)
Tyrod had a high ownership for a typical waiver wire add, but if he is available in your league he is a great streaming option in Week 7. He goes to Miami who gives up an average of 19 points per week to quarterbacks.

Alex Smith, Kansas City Chiefs (28% owned)
Alex is the definition of a game manager quarterback meaning he probably won’t put up Drew Brees like numbers but he also won’t have games like David Carr did last week. He has a juicy matchup this week against the anemic New Orleans defense.

Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens (29% owned)
Flacco the Wacko has been relatively lame as a fantasy option this season, but he can really help in favorable match-ups. Cue the New York Jets secondary. Call me crazy but if I have Russell Wilson or Carson Palmer as my starter I will take a flyer on Flacco in Week 7.

Running Backs – Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups:

Jay Ajayi, Miami Dolphins (31% owned)
This one hurts me the most, but how can I keep him off my list. Call me stupid, but I still have hope for Arian Foster to make this triumphant return. In the meantime, get on the @JayTrain23 while you can.

Chris Ivory, Jacksonville Jaguars (43% owned)
Ivory out touched TJ Yeldon 13-7 in Week 6 and got a goal line carry. In addition to this Ivory was even targeted as much in the game as Yeldon. It’s hard to trust either back in Jacksonville, but give me the guy who gets goal line carries.

James White, New England Patriots (57% owned)
James White is still available in over 40% of leagues and mostly because of the “Belichick Effect”. What RB can you trust in New England? James White has been great since Brady’s return and I believe he will continue performing until their Week 9 bye.

Wide Receivers – Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups:

Kenny Britt, Los Angeles Rams (11% owned)
2010 was the last time Kenny Britt was fantasy relevant. That was until now. He has been reinvigorated in LA and people need to own him. Kenny is averaging 13 fantasy points per game and no one wants to claim him. Week 9-12 he has some of the best match-ups against WRs.

Kendall Wright, Tennessee Titans (3% owned)
Wright is still working his way back from injury but Week 6 has him on the field 22 of 62 plays where he made the most of it. 8 catches 133 yards and a touchdown. Imagine if he played a full game.

Anquan Boldin, Detroit Lions (20% owned)
Marvin Jones is Detroit’s primary receiver and Golden Tate finally got the memo the season started this past week, but Anquan is the safety valve Stafford misses every time Ebron doesn’t play.

Cole Beasley, Dallas Cowboys (45% owned)
The perfect wide receiver attributes are always 5 foot 8 and 180 pounds right? Not exactly, but Cole Beasley is one of those guys who defies the norm. Don’t be worried about Dez returning this will help Cole.

Tight Ends – Fantasy Football Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups:

Vernon Davis, Washington Redskins (4% owned)
If Jordan Reed has trouble getting through concussion protocol this week, Davis is the pickup of the week for tight end.

Charles Clay, Buffalo Bills (24% owned)
We shall call him “Captain Consistency”. Clay has caught 5 passes in three straight games. This week going for 7 targets, 5 catches and 52 yards. There are only 7 tight ends getting more targets per game then Clay over the last three weeks.

CJ Fiedorowicz, Houston Texans (1% owned)
CJ was on this list last week and he will continue to stay here until people start to pay attention. His stats over the last three weeks are a meager 14 catches, 194 yards and 2 touchdowns. He does play Denver in Week 7 however.

You’re Welcome!
