The Conspiracy Against Brock Osweiler

If you’re like me, then you don’t take anything or anyone as they are. I believe everyone has an angle, a hidden motivation under a mask that they wear in the form of a human face. Now, I’m not saying that I’m a conspiracy theorist like Mel Gibson in Conspiracy Theory. Even though it would be pretty sweet to have those secret chambers in an NYC apartment without anyone knowing about them. But, I do believe that JFK was killed by his own government, aliens landed in Roswell (and in Carbondale, PA at the Russell Park breaker) and are walking around us right now, the Money Pit, time travel, chem trails (editors note: these ARE real, an old guy on a bus back from Atlantic City told me so), Nessy, that the year is really in the 1600s, the Illuminati and several other things that some “people” refer to as “conspiracies.” But, all of that is nothing compared to the biggest conspiracy in the NFL. There is a systematic effort to keep Brock Osweiler from succeeding.

The evidence is all around us. You see it every week. You don’t need a man named X to meet you near the Washington Monument to explain to you that a man the caliber of Brock Osweiler is being held down. You just have to ask the right questions. How else do you explain a man with the prototypical QB size, which from I’m told from E̶S̶P̶N̶ the Man is between 6’3 – 6’6. You mean to tell me, that Brock is actually 2 inches taller than that and is struggling to find open receivers? There’s really no explanation for this. Brock never had a chance. Let’s examine the key players involved in this conspiracy.

The Brock Osweiler Conspiracy Cast of Suspects

Lamar Miller

The newly acquired and highly touted running back, who began his career with the Miami Dolphins, another franchise who’s no stranger to conspiracy. See: Bullygate and keeping Dan Marino ringless. Miller was drafted in the late first round or early second round of people’s fantasy football drafts. He now ranks 15th among NFL running backs, averaging just 10 fantasy points a game. I don’t know about you, but when you get a transplant from southern Florida, you expect a little more work ethic then what he is providing.

Motivation – He can’t handle the pressure of winning. He never did it in Miami and doesn’t want to start now.

DeAndre Hopkins

Nuk put up 3,533 yards in his first three season with Quarterbacks like Brian Hoyer, Matt Schuab, Case Keenum, Brandon Weedon, TJ Yates, Ryan Mallet and Ryan Fitzpatrick. So, if you think I’m going to believe that a man with the skills that Hopkins possesses can put up top 5 numbers with those quarterbacks and not Osweiler, then you must be on government issued LSD.

Motivation – Under perform so that the Texans look to another Texan with a name that rhymes with Connie Panziel to lead them.

Bill O’Brien

Bill is a man who knows his way around an NFL QB. O’Brien did some terrific things with this guy you may have heard of, called Tom Brady and not so well known guys (unless you live in NEPA) like Matt McGloin. And yet, he still can’t seem to figure out what to do with Osweiler. You’re gonna tell me that you can get Matt McGloin into the NFL, but you can’t get the Brocketlauncher’s completion percentage near 60%? That dog don’t hunt.

Motivation – He’s waiting until Tom Brady is 51, so he can sign him to a 10 year deal.

Peyton Manning

He may be retired, for now, but Peyton’s involvement in this charade still plays out every week. Last year, Manning went down with an injury, which saw Osweiler flourish to a 5-2 record, throwing 10 TDs during that span. Numbers only a freak like Brock could achieve. And then, like Stanley Kubrick on the set of the moon landing he yelled “CUT!” and inserted himself back in to win a Super Bowl. Winning the Super Bowl was a real low blow. Didn’t have to do that.

Motivation-  Fear of Brock dipping into the 47 trillion commercials he does.

You probably never thought this conspiracy went this deep. I know, it’s shocking. To see something like this unfold in front of your eyes. Knowing there was nothing you can do to stop it. But, the final and most important player in the scheme to keep Brock Osweiler down is the man who created him.

John Elway

There can only be one man of Denver and John Elway is going to do everything he can to make sure he remains “the man.” Sure, Manning won a super bowl. But, he knew his time was over. He wasn’t going to give the keys to the Range Rover to a young up-and-comer, like Osweiler.

So you know what he did? You know how he got Brock to leave Denver, ultimately keeping his legacy in place? He got real dirty and offered Brock a 16 million-a-year compared to 18 million-a-year with 36 million guaranteed. He gave him no choice but to leave. Elway’s reach doesn’t stop in Denver. He has associates throughout the league who are willing to stop at nothing to preserve the legacy of Elway, even if it means shattering the career of a once franchise QB, Brock Osweiler.

My only hope is that as a nation we can expose this plot for what it is. That we can unveil the truth. Because in the words of the great Kevin Costner, who played Jim Garrison in the movie JFK; “The truth is the most important value we have because if the truth does not endure, if John Elway murders truth, if we cannot respect the hearts of these people, then this is not the league in which I was born and this is certainly not the league I want to die in.  Show this world that this is still an NFL ‘of the people, for the people, and by the people’. Nothing as long as you live will ever be more important. It’s up to you.
